Questions from HR teams

Do HR users need technical skills to use MIA?

HR teams record arrivals, role changes and departures in their usual reference tool. MIA applies the configured access operations. Roles and connector permissions are initially set up with IT.

How does onboarding start from our HR system?

When a person is created in the designated reference tool, MIA applies the account provisioning configured for their role in connected applications, according to the capabilities of each connector.

How do we manage contractors who are not in our HR system?

Create them in MIA with an appropriate user type, such as contractor, temporary worker or freelancer. Their access can follow the same governance rules and be included in reviews.

Access governance

How do we verify that access has been removed after a departure?

The departure triggers revocation operations supported by your configured connectors. Check their results and address failures. Applications that are not connected need separate checks. Revocation does not automatically cancel subscriptions.

Security monitoring

Does MIA connect to our HR system?

Connectors are documented for Lucca, Personio, BambooHR and Workday. Silae is also available for payroll data. You can use another compatible reference tool, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Capabilities and prerequisites vary by connector.
